Terms of Service

The service

Roast My X is a service operated by UNIHOLIX OÜ (registry code 17479878, Estonia). These terms apply when you use it. By paying for a result, you accept them.

You submit a piece of your own writing, such as a resume, a cover letter, a dating profile, a cold email, a product description or a pitch. For a price, you receive a result produced by AI: a roast (a humorous critique of the writing with concrete fixes) or a writing report (for example a revised version, interview preparation or a listing pack).

Where offered, Roast My Launch works from the address of one public web page and a one-line description instead of pasted text, and produces a launch roast or a launch report.

In these terms, your input means everything you submit to be reviewed, and your result means the roast or report you receive.

Who can use it

You must be 13 or older (or the higher minimum age in your country) to use the service, and if you are under 18 you may use it only with the permission of a parent or guardian.

Some kinds of writing and the launch report are for adults only: before you buy one, you confirm that you are 18 or older. If you say you are under 18, the service offers only items for younger users, at lower prices, with a milder tone.

Price, payment and delivery

  • A roast costs $2.99. Where offered, a launch roast costs $3 and a launch report $12. Each writing report shows its price before you choose it.
  • Prices are set in US dollars. At checkout you may see and pay the price in your local currency, converted by our payment processor. The price shown at checkout is the full price you pay us; your bank may charge its own fees.
  • You pay once through our payment processor. There is no subscription and no account. The payment processor emails you a receipt.
  • Your result appears on screen, usually within a minute of payment, in the browser you paid from. One payment lets you produce the result up to 3 times for the same input, for example after a page refresh. Failed attempts do not count.
  • We do not keep a copy of your result. Save or copy it when it appears.

Right of withdrawal and refunds

Before you pay, you tick a box to confirm that you want your result delivered right away and that you understand you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once it has been delivered. We record this confirmation with your payment.

If you are a consumer in the EU, the EEA or the United Kingdom, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a contract for digital content. Because you ask for immediate delivery and acknowledge the loss of this right, the right ends once your result has been delivered (Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive and the equivalent rules in the United Kingdom).

If your result is not delivered, or you were charged more than once, you get a full refund. Our Refund Policy explains how to ask.

Your input and your responsibility

  • Submit only your own material, or material you have the right to submit.
  • Before you submit, remove other people's personal data (such as names, contact details or health information), passwords and other secrets, and any confidential information. This is your responsibility.
  • For Roast My Launch, name only a public web page that anyone can open without signing in, and that you own or are allowed to have reviewed.
  • We do not keep your input after your result has been produced.
  • You are responsible for how you use your result.

Acceptable use

  • Do not submit unlawful content, or content meant to harass, deceive, impersonate or harm anyone.
  • Do not try to overload or attack the service or get around its limits, and do not copy or reverse-engineer it.
  • The service may decline to produce a result, for example for harmful content. If it does, you get a full refund.

About AI results

Results are produced by an AI model for information and general feedback. A roast is humorous by design: it critiques the writing, never the person.

  • Results can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable for your situation. Check them before you rely on them.
  • Results are not professional advice of any kind, including legal, financial, medical, tax, immigration or hiring advice.
  • Results are not a certification, an assessment of you or a guarantee of any outcome, such as a job offer, admission, sales or funding.
  • Use results only to improve your own writing. Do not use the service to evaluate, rank or select other people, for example job applicants, employees, students or borrowers.

Intellectual property

  • You keep all rights in your input. You allow us and our service providers to use it only to produce your result.
  • We do not claim any rights in your result. You may use it as you wish, subject to the rights of others in your input.
  • The website, its design, its text and its code belong to UNIHOLIX OÜ or its licensors.

Third-party websites

For Roast My Launch, we read only the one public page you name, once, and only if the site's robots rules allow it. We are not responsible for the content of third-party websites, and reviewing a page does not mean that we endorse it.

Liability

We provide the service with reasonable care. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for decisions you take on the basis of a result.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, or your rights as a consumer under the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim before the courts there.

If you have a complaint, please email us first: most problems can be solved quickly. If you are a consumer in the EU, you can also turn to the Estonian Consumer Disputes Committee (Tarbijavaidluste komisjon) or ask the European Consumer Centre in your country for help.

Changes

We may change these terms when the service or the law changes. The current version is always on this page. The terms that applied when you paid apply to that purchase.
